Why my cells have mysterious padding between them?

I have this table setup and am wondering why my cells have somekind of padding between them. Since my VP width I use for the stage is 360 the cells containing the buttons are pushed slightly off screen because of this padding.

    buttonTable.bottom();
    buttonTable.setFillParent(true);
    buttonTable.row();
    buttonTable.add(logButton).width(120);
    buttonTable.add(statButton).width(120);
    buttonTable.add(inventoryButton).width(120)

If I change the middle statButton to the following everything lines up and fits the screen perfectly.

    buttonTable.add(statButton).width(120).padLeft(-6).padRight(-6);

But that is just silly, when padding is 0 then my cells should line up. I have tried looking for margins like in .CSS and table/cell borders but could not find anything. So why is there “unexpected” padding between my cells?
