When converting data from UTF16-LE to UTF16-BE, will the size of the file increase?

When converting data from UTF16-LE to UTF16-BE, will the size of the file increase? Why?

e.g.

iconv -f UTF-16-LE -t UTF16-BE file.txt

As far as I understand, Little and Big Endian differ in byte placement. BE places the most important one at the beginning and LE at the end. Am I right? But, is there any size differnce between them?
