Get a Newline before each output in the bash promt

I am trying to make my bash promt a bit more clear. especially when I use the ls command I want a blank line inbetween the command and the folder results. with the PS and PROMT_COMMAND i could not archieve that, because they affect only the area before the command.

The only solution that comes to my mind is to write bash script that wraps the command with some echo’s. But this would not work for any command then.

here’s an example what I try to archieve: (the spaces behind are easy to realize with the PS Variable)

me@comp:~$ ls

folder1
folder2
file1

me@comp:~$ ls

...
..
