Apache is only taking one connection each time

My office’s got a Mac mini, and we hooked this Mac to the internet and gave it an domain name. We’ve also setup a MAMP to the machine, so we can host websites & databases for development purpose on it.

However, as we tested, the server is only taking one connection each time. e.g. www.example.com/test is the one of the website url on this machine, when there are 2 & above visitors try to visit the url, one will definitely gets connection refused.

And, I’ve also tried change the settings in MAMP: MaxClients to 256 or any other number, still gets no luck.

The file I modified is located: Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/httpd.conf
or: Applications/MAMP/conf/apache/extra/httpd-mpm.conf
And the settings are:

StartServers 5
MinSpareServers 5
MaxSpareServers 10
MaxClients 150
MaxRequestsPerChild 0

I am not familiar with how MAMP work, but this is bordering us for quite sometime, could someone please give us a hint?
